We believe materials are not recycled until they’ve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes, water bottles and jam jars to food and beverage cans, we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealand’s food and beverage packaging industry.

 

The Opportunity:

Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies.

Our site in Smithfield has an opportunity for an ambitious and keen individual to join and be a part of the Services team, who’s main objective is to provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers of the business and achieve adherence to department KPI’s.

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Receive and process orders in a timely and effective manner.
  • A proactive approach to safety and environment management as well as being proactive in our strategies of Continuous Improvement in World Class Manufacturing Standards.
  • Maintaining timely and clear communication with customers
  • We only process customer orders
  • Working closely with the site scheduler and sales team members.
  • Prioritise workload to ensure meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Stock Control Management.
  • Answering customer and stakeholder calls.
  • General administration duties as required within the department.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Great communication skills
  • Willingness to learn with on-the-job training.
  • Experience with Microsoft office
  • Prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.
